This Tuesday, students from the EF International Language Center of Pedregalejo have helped us in the English lessons. Thanks to them we can listen to stories with a native accent.

This Thursday, we have the great opportunity to visit the "Salvador Rueda" Public Library. Once there, some colleagues have shown us a story using puppets and gestures to make the message more understandable for children. Surprisingly, the story was "The Enormous Carrot", which we already saw in English class at school.

We´ve got an English week planning . Every week , there are 3 hours of English . Our first day of English is Wednesday ; this day we practise interview challenge , listen a work about a story and we finish the first sesion with grammar activities. The second day of English is Thursday , we start  listening an English  song , then we invent and write a role play to scenify when we practise it and finally we play board games. on Fridays , we work on the previous day song , after that , we do a project about an interesting topic in small groups and we finoish the week using the ITC . 

English Book Club   Hemos creado un club de lectura en inglés en nuestro colegio . Los alumnos han decidido llamarlo BOOK CLUB . Un día  a la semana van a la biblioteca del centro , la cuál , se ha provisto de bastantes títulos en inglés para que cada uno pueda elegir el que le guste y esté adaptado a su nivel . Una vez han elegido su libro se pueden ir al lugar de la escuela que prefieran para hacer una lectura placentera . Como producto final de la lectura , anotan el título leído , las palabras interesantes y el dibujo que lo ilustre en sus mini books que ellos han confeccionado .

Hoy han practicado un juego, el cual consiste en tirar el dado e ir completando su árbol de Navidad.EL objetivo del juego era practicar las instrucciones en inglés para completar su árbol.

Antes de comenzar la unidad, los alumnos y alumnas de 5º han hecho su portfolio, en este aparece información personal, como por ejemplo su comida, color y película favorita. Aquí van a ir recogiendo todo el trabajo que hagan, de esta asignatura, a lo largo del año. Tras acabar la unidad 1 de inglés, han hecho un proyecto final que les acerca un poco más a su realidad. Este “project” ha sido sobre la familia, cada uno ha hablado sobre sus padres, hermanos y hermanas, cuáles son sus aficiones, gustos, etc. Los “fast finishers”, además de este proyecto, también han realizado uno sobre sus mascotas.
